14/12/2006 - Berowra Lions Giant Christmas Book Sale
To celebrate the success of the Op Shop and the coming of Christmas, we are holding a Giant Christmas Book Sale on Saturday 16th December in Marketplace Shopping Centre between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm (or until the books run out). For one day only, ALL books are only 25c each so come in and grab a Christmas Bargain while it lasts.

We will also be selling the famous Lions Christmas Cakes. Only $9.00 each for the greatest tasting Christmas cakes, ever! The shop will also be open for other bargains - adult & children’s clothes, toys, home-wares, CDs/DVDs and collectables. Where are we? Marketplace Shopping Centre – enter via Kita Rd or IGA underground car park. Next door to Running Wild Fitness. The shop will be close for the Christmas/New Year period – last day 2006: 23rd December, re-opening on 6th January 2007.

Berowra Lions say “Thank-you Berowra”
We opened our Op Shop in Berowra Marketplace Shopping Centre in May 2006 and since then the support for this community venture has been overwhelming. The people of the Berowra District (and beyond) welcomed the re-establishment of an Op Shop in Berowra and have demonstrated their support in donations and sales. To date, we have donated over $18,000 back to a wide range of organisations (for a full list, see our web site at www.berowralions.org.au) and with your on-going support we be able to continue this charitable work for years to come.

And a special thank-you to Kathie Comb and all the team at The Bush Telegraph for their help and support in promoting the work of our Club. We really appreciate the work they do in spreading the news the Berowra District.
